Color Illusion

The applet shows a central black dot and a circle of colored dots around. You are to concentrate on central dot. You will start seeing some moving dots of a color which in not there at all. With choice of 8 colors by slider you can enjoy the illusion. (Click on screen and choose color by slider and start animation by click of the button). This is a Java Applet created using GeoGebra from www.geogebra.org - it looks like you don't have Java installed, please go to www.java.com My explanation for the illusion. When one stares at a color for some time and then look away one sees opposite color. This may be due to fatigue of the eye. Here instead of looking away the dots are moved.
